Nandi A. O. Deterville is an Immigration Lawyer at Y-Canada. With her contagious laugh, her lovable personality and quick wit, Nandi is an integral team member. Nandi strives to bring the best out in her clients and always strengthens their cases to increase their chances for success.
She was born and raised in the sunny Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. Nandi holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and attended law school (College of Law of England & Wales and BPP Law School) in England, United Kingdom. She was called to the Bars of England & Wales and Saint Lucia in 2008 and practiced in a general practice law firm in Saint Lucia before immigrating to Toronto, Canada. Nandi re-qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2017. Since then, Nandi has been passionately practicing immigration law and sharing her desire to bring more immigrants to Canada.
Nandi actively volunteers as a section executive member of the Ontario Bar Association where she helps plan and produce Continuing Professional Development Programs for the organization. She is also involved with the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers and maintains an active role on social media for these organizations.
